Concrete solutions for a clean future
"Our energy choices have direct impacts on our health, our environment, and our economy. Green planet with clean energy – is our common choice for the future. ECAT-Lithuania strongly supports the FutureIsClean initiative. We believe, that the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP21, held in Paris in December 2015 will bring concrete steps to reach a global agreement on climate change" - Lina Gelažienė, ECAT Director
Environmental Centre for Administration and Technology (ECAT – Lithuania) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, established in 1997. Our mission is to integrate environmental concerns into the society, to contribute to common welfare and improve the quality of life through practical and sustainable solutions. We seek our activities to make the environmental impact as small as possible. Solutions should be useful, effective and contributed to social welfare both of employees and society. Measuring the outcomes for the World, we make our own environment sustainable.
Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg are attempting the first round-the-world solar flight, an adventure to promote the use of clean technologies.
Clean technologies used on the solar aircraft could be used on the ground and reduce 50% of our world’s energy consumption... as of today. But for this, we need political courage and pioneering spirit.
We launched the #futureisclean initiative to create a federation of organizations pushing the replacement of old polluting devices by existing clean technologies.
Join Bertrand Piccard’s approach to show that climate change is not an expensive problem requiring heavy financial and behavioral sacrifices, but rather a unique opportunity for profit and job creation:
Just like onboard Solar Impulse, solutions already exist to reduce energy consumption. We have gathered 357 organizations around this initiative. Some of them sent the solutions they wanted to promote at COP21.
The vote is now over, here are the top 5 solutions you voted for!
