Concrete solutions for a clean future
The Future is Clean idea is quite close to one of the directions of RNEI work - drawing of public attention to the problem of climate change and renewable energy opportunities. "We find it particularly important is to demonstrate widely very practical low-carbon and renewable energy solutions, like the Future is Clean"- Angelina Davydova, RNEI director
The representatives of the Russian-German Office for Ecological Information (RNEI) have been taking part in the UN climate negotiations since 2008. The RNEI helps NGO and media participants from Russia take part in the climate negotiations, enabling them to expand their knowledge of the UN climate negotiations, international and national climate policies, low-carbon development initiatives, etc. The RNEI also encourages NGOs from Russia and further CIS countries to establish contacts with international civil society organisations and initiate international actions, campaigns.
Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg are attempting the first round-the-world solar flight, an adventure to promote the use of clean technologies.
Clean technologies used on the solar aircraft could be used on the ground and reduce 50% of our world’s energy consumption... as of today. But for this, we need political courage and pioneering spirit.
We launched the #futureisclean initiative to create a federation of organizations pushing the replacement of old polluting devices by existing clean technologies.
Just like onboard Solar Impulse, solutions already exist to reduce energy consumption. We have gathered 357 organizations around this initiative. Some of them sent the solutions they wanted to promote at COP21.
The vote is now over, here are the top 5 solutions you voted for!
